Endomundo App Review

I'm on a very non horse-related trip, but before departing from Wisconsin I had the chance to try out the Android Endomundo app on my phone for ride tracking.

I didn't like it as much as my Garmin, but it does work well. The mileage via my phone's GPS seemed accurate. The interface is much easier to use than the Garmin hand held we have. So I am pleased that I have a back-up for when the hubby uses the Garmin for kayaking.

You also have the option to share the workout with your Endomundo friends, Facebook, and I think Twitter. Bonus that it have me calories I burned while riding.:-) I always like to see that I burned off calories! Especially while doing my favorite activity.

Winter is Coming

It's turning cold here in Wisconsin. Since there will be little trail riding left in the season, I have decided to start a blog. My distance riding season has come to a close, and I only have 2 more races that I am doing myself (Turkey Trots) to keep myself fit as the holidays approach.

Today I found a link on Facebook, that I found really educational and inspiring. One of my "bucket list" items is to someday finish the Tevis Cup. It would be great if I could on my current horse, as she has the kind of mind I like on the trail.
